October 2026 President’s Message
Dear Members and Friends,
Fall is officially here and what a great way we kicked it off! Our Four Corners Event at Bombshell Beer Company on the 23rd was another success, with around 40 associate and professional members in attendance. Thank you to all who came out and helped make it such a strong evening of connection.
The 2026 Joint Networking Event on the 24th brought together more than 200 commercial real estate professionals from over 15 industry organizations in the recently renovated Imperial Tower, and raised funds for Read & Feed, Cary. It was also a huge success, and we were proud to see so many of our IFMA GTC members there. Thanks for stopping by our table to say hi!
The Bowling for Bones fundraiser that is typically scheduled in October has been moved to February 2027. The Community Outreach Committee is coordinating another great opportunity for us to come together and raise money for Pets for Vets, Best Friends Pet Adoption and German Shepard Rescue. We will have more information in the coming months so stay tuned.
Lastly, just a friendly reminder about our annual Chapter Member Appreciation at the Angus Barn Pavilion on November 5th, where we will celebrate all our members. We will also recognize those who have been nominated for outstanding leadership and support to the Greater Triangle Chapter and the facilities profession over the past year. Categories include Professional Member of the Year, Associate Member of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Committee Member of the Year, Young Professional of the Year and Sponsor of the Year. As always, we will be collecting donations for Toys for Tots so please bring an unwrapped gift, or if you prefer, we will have a QR code available to make a monetary donation for our annual Toys for Tots shopping day. Registration is open NOW so be sure to reserve your spot for our most popular event.
