September 2026 President’s Message
Summer’s wrapping up, and I’m looking forward to fall and all things that come with it. Cooler temps, the leaves changing colors and of course, FOOTBALL! I hope you all had a great August and are ready for what’s coming next.
In case you missed it, our August Luncheon featured a panel of veterans discussing the strategic advantages of hiring those who have served. The conversation offered valuable insight into the leadership, discipline, and problem-solving skills veterans bring to the workforce, and we are grateful to the panelists who shared their experiences with the chapter.
The August Social was also very well attended, with nearly 40 members and prospective members gathering to connect and provide input on the content and opportunities they would like to see from the Greater Triangle Chapter leadership. Your voice shapes our programming, and we are grateful for the thoughtful feedback.
My sincere thanks to everyone who attended and especially to the committees who worked hard to make both events such a success!
September brings more opportunities that you will not want to miss. On September 23rd, our very successful Four Corners Event returns, reaching out to facilities management members across the extended Greater Triangle area to connect and expand our network. This is a wonderful opportunity to engage with peers across the region and strengthen our professional community. Please plan to join us at Bombshell Beer Company in Holly Springs anytime between 3:30 pm – 6:30 pm.
On September 24th, the Annual Joint Commercial Real Estate Event will be held at Imperial Tower from 4:30 to 7:00 pm and will bring together more than 200 commercial real estate professionals from over 15 organizations. It creates networking opportunities for members from all over the CRE community and the proceeds support Read & Feed, which is an after-school literacy program that provides meals, tutoring and books for children from low-income families in Wake County. Please be sure to stop by the IFMA table and say hello – we would love to see you there!
