Did you know that IFMA Greater Triangle Chapter is celebrating 40 years? For four decades, our chapter has been a cornerstone of the facility management community in the Triangle, connecting professionals, providing valuable educational programming, and advancing the FM profession. This milestone is a testament to the dedication of our members, past presidents, and volunteer leaders who have contributed to our chapter’s growth and success over the years. I am proud to be part of such a rich legacy, and I look forward to celebrating with all of you throughout the year.
My sincere thanks to everyone who attended July’s luncheon – what a great crowd! I hope that the Meet the Committees session was informative and that you found a committee that interests you. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any additional questions about a specific committee or where we could use additional support.
If you missed July’s luncheon, we have two great opportunities lined up for this month. Join us for our next luncheon on August 12th at 11:30 a.m. at Prestonwood Country Club. This month’s program, “The Strategic Advantage: Hiring Those Who Served,” will feature a panel of veterans who will share their perspectives on the value veterans bring to the workforce. This promises to be an insightful and inspiring discussion, and I encourage you to sign up. There are only a few spots left!
Looking to connect with fellow FM professionals? Join us for our FM Only Social on August 19th from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Tobacco Road Sports Cafe in Durham. This event is open to Facilities Management professional members and those facilities professionals interested in learning more about what IFMA has to offer. As a special incentive, facilities managers attending as guests will be entered into a free drawing for a one-year membership. This offer is valid for new, first-time members only.
I look forward to seeing you at these upcoming events and am excited to serve our chapter this year. Please feel free to reach out anytime — I’d love to hear your questions or ideas.
Stay cool in this summer heat!
Warm regards,
Michele Lowery, RPA
