Hello Greater Triangle Chapter Members,
Spring has officially arrived in North Carolina! As the landscape turns green and the pollen (mostly) clears, it is the perfect time to reflect on the incredible momentum our chapter has built over these past few months and look forward to events ahead.
April Reflections
We kicked off April with a fantastic behind-the-scenes look at the Lenovo Center. It was a privilege to tour the facility improvements and construction areas, followed by some great networking at The Local. The highlight of the month, of course, was the Annual Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament at Lochmere Golf Club. It was a beautiful day on the greens, filled with camaraderie and friendly competition -all while supporting the IFMA Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House. Thank you to everyone who participated, sponsored, and donated door prizes to make this event such a success.
May: Celebrating our Profession
May is a major month for us as we celebrate World FM Day on May 13th. We have a special “Professional Only” event scheduled at the Lonnie Poole Golf Course. This afternoon is dedicated to your growth, featuring the program “From Operations to Opportunity: A Career in FM,” where we’ll explore the career journeys of local leaders. You won’t want to miss our guest speaker, Tieska Jumbo, as she delivers a collaborative workshop about using what you already do well to execute at a higher level and turn that in to opportunity. We will wrap up the day with our Annual Sponsor Social – a perfect way to honor the “behind-the-scenes heroes” of our built environments. Space is limited so register now.
Later this month, on May 28th, join us at Casita Brewing for our next Four Corners Social. These gatherings are specifically designed to bring facility managers together from across the broader region in a relaxed, welcoming space. If you’ve been looking for a reason to get more involved, this is it!
Looking Ahead & Digital Updates
New and Improved website: If you haven’t visited www.ifmatriangle.org lately, please take a look! It is more responsive and user-friendly than ever, making it easier to register for events and find chapter resources.
Spotlight Videos: Check out our LinkedIn page for our new members and sponsor spotlight videos. It’s a great way to meet the faces that make our chapter so vibrant.
Board Elections: A final reminder to cast your vote for our new board members if you haven’t already. Your voice helps shape the future of the chapter.
I look forward to seeing many of you at Lonnie Poole on the 13th!
