October 2024 President’s Message
First, I would like to extend my heartfelt thoughts and prayers to anyone who has been affected by the tragic storm that swept over Western North Carolina last week. The loss of life, damage to property, and interruption to daily life is truly hard to grasp. These communities will need an incredible amount of help and support from the community for many months to come. It is inspiring to see the incredible amount of supplies and monetary support that members of our chapter have provided to these affected communities so far.
Thanks to Michele, Erin, Tanya, and Kellie for representing the chapter last week at the Commercial Real Estate Joint Networking Event. Earlier in September, we hosted a social at The Can Opener in Durham honoring Tim Carr’s legacy. It was great to see a good turnout for this event and fun was had by all. Before attending this social, members of our community outreach committee visited the Ronald McDonald House in Durham to present a $2,000 donation that the Chapter raised. Thank you for the joint effort in raising this money for such a worthwhile cause.
October is here and we have a busy month again! October 9th– 11th we have twenty members of our chapter traveling to San Antonio for World Workplace. October 17th our Community Outreach Committee will be hosting our Bingo for Bones “Slider Cookoff” benefiting Best Friends Pet Adoption, Vets to Vets United, & German Shephard Rescue and Adoption. This event is a spin-off of our annual chili cook-off and sounds delicious!
Please feel free to reach out with any questions.
