January 2023 President’s Message
Wow! 2022 flew by, almost too fast, but you know what they say, time flies when you are having fun! As I look back on 2022, the Chapter did some amazing things. We had a record setting year for donations to Bingo for Bones and Toys for Tots, we hosted a CFM prep course for area FMs to attend, we received a proclamation from Governor Roy Cooper for World FM Day, were presented an IFMA National Award for Web Communications, and we closed the year out with our highest attended monthly meeting in over 2 years. That sounds like a pretty good and fun-filled year to me.
As we look to 2023, we have some exciting things planned for the Chapter. We look forward to seeing you at the events listed below:
- January 11th at 11:30AM-1PM at Prestwood Country Club with Wayne Whitzell, How to Manage Narcissists, Naysayers, and Know it All’s
- March 9-10 – IFMA Carolinas Summit and Gala
- March 16th – March Madness Event at Rally Point
- April TBD – ***New Committee*** Young Professionals Committee Event – Led by Dawn Moynihan; more details to follow.
- April 26th – Mike Bradley Memorial IFMA Foundation Golf Tournament at Lochmere
- May 17th – World FM Day
With a new year comes new goals and for some a few New Year’s resolutions, and I know I have a few. I look forward to seeing everyone in the New Year and continuing to see our Chapter grow!
