December 2022 President’s Message
They say time flies when you are having fun and 2022 has certainly flown by. Last month we had our Annual Member Appreciation Event at The Angus Barn, and what a great turnout. It was a pleasure to see everyone and thank you to all of our sponsors because without you we wouldn’t be able to have this event. On Dec 6th we have the annual IFMA Toys for Tots Shopping Extravaganza followed by our Monthly Chapter Meeting on Dec 14th at Prestonwood Country Club – “Crafting the Workplace Experience”. This event is at capacity for a panel discussion with industry thought leaders from HR, interior space design, and corporate real estate that will shed some light on strategies companies use to bring employees back to the office.
With the holiday season in full swing and many of us being pulled in many directions, this time of year can be stressful. Past President Travis Dodson mentioned this in his December newsletter last year, and I want to pass it along again this year. If you are feeling overwhelmed, reach out to a colleague, a mentor, your friends, and family and voice your concerns. If you notice a colleague seems a bit short, stressed, or is shutting down, reach out to them.
We have an amazing chapter, thank you to everyone for making 2022 such a successful year. Let’s keep this momentum moving forward and make 2023 even better.
Please be safe and take care of yourselves during the holidays.
