Greater Triangle IFMA Chapter Awards
To recognize the volunteer efforts of our Members and Company Supporters, the Greater Triangle Chapter presents annual awards to those who distinguish themselves by exceptional achievement, outstanding leadership and sustained support of the Greater Triangle Chapter and the Facilities Profession.
There are 5 annual awards. Four are given to individuals and 1 to a company that supports the Chapter. These awards and the eligibility criteria for each are below:
Professional Member of the Year – The nominee must be a Facility Management professional for the last 5 years and a Professional Member of the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA for at least 3 years. This individual has shown support of the organization through regular attendance at Chapter meetings and events, participation in Committees, and active engagement in new initiatives.
Associate Member of the Year – The nominee must be an Associate Member who recognizes and demonstrates that IFMA is a forum for the exchange of ideas with Professional Members. Nominees will be judged on the integrity of their participation in the organization. This individual has shown support of the organization through regular attendance at Chapter meetings and events, participation in Committees, and active engagement in new initiatives. The nominee must be a Member of the Greater Triangle Chapter for at least 3 years.
Rookie of the Year – The nominee is the Greater Triangle Chapter Member with a maximum of 2 years of membership who has made noticeable contributions to the Chapter. Their enthusiasm and volunteerism makes them highly regarded by their Chapter peers for exhibiting a high degree of involvement, contributions at the personal level that provide outstanding support and participation within the Chapter.
Committee Member of the Year – This award is given to the Committee Member who has shown a willingness to volunteer, participate, and contribute to committee and chapter events. They are consistently involved. Their level of participation contributes positively to the function of the committee and provides growth and success. This individual goes above and beyond to serve the Chapter and committee.
Sponsor of the Year – The Sponsor of the Year award is presented to the company that fully supports the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA through time, energy and participation and/or hosting of chapter events, as well as annual financial support and activity within the chapter. The company supports the efforts of its employees within the organization. This category does not recognize an individual.
