On Thursday, September 17th, IFMA held a virtual meeting on the Workplace Post Pandemic.

Employees will be coming back into the built environment, and we likely won’t have the luxury to redesign the entire workspace. In their presentation to the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA, Nicole Kalafut, Michelle Eckhart, of PMC Haworth and Raj Krishnamurthy of Freespace presented us with creative solutions to building re-entry. Leveraging technologies such as sensors, smart tags, and digital signage, Facility Managers have the opportunity to return, rebalance, and rejuvenate the workplace. Coupled with software from Freespace, a business can quickly determine capacity, demand usage, and, more importantly, communicate to staff that an area has been cleaned and is available for use.
