What a great meeting we had last week! If you were in attendance, I hope you learned something about the chapter operations and are as excited about the direction of the chapter this year as the leadership team is. If you could not make it, please feel free to reach out to me. I would love to share the 2021-2022 goals and how you can directly impact the chapter. As the sponsorship campaign is drawing to a close, thank you to those who have trusted us by providing financial support to move the chapter forward. To the professional members, thank you for considering our sponsors when you have a problem that requires their expertise.
Last month, I encouraged you to think about how you can introduce new members to the chapter, how you can bring your talents to a committee, or how you can share your knowledge with fellow chapter members. Just a few days ago, you heard about the committee goals. If you are looking for a way to expand your network and increase your engagement within the chapter, volunteer your time to a committee.
During our retreat, we discussed how we could engage our membership in different ways. Last year’s virtual wine tastings were so successful that we decided to host a virtual wine tasting event again this August. Additionally, we are planning an afternoon educational session combined with a networking event on August 25.
The next few months will be busy with events hosted by our chapter, the Carolinas Summit and Gala, and World Workplace. One of our goals is to publish a quarterly calendar to help keep you informed of the events. We hope that providing you with advanced notice will help you plan your schedule so you can attend.
Lastly, if you haven’t followed the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA social media pages, please connect with them to keep apprised of the latest information from the chapter.
