September 2022 President’s Message

I can’t believe it is September already, and for those of us who are football fans, life is about to get better-Go Wolfpack! In August, we had Anna Javellana, Addicted to Busy, as our guest speaker, and it was well received.

Our next event is scheduled for September 15th from 4:00p to 6:00pm and is a Meet the Committees event at Lynnwood Brewing Concern.  For our new IFMA members, this is a great opportunity to network and see how each of the committees support the chapter. For the rest of us, this is also a great time to network and sample a beverage or two.  Over the past few months our chapter has grown, so if you see a new face or someone you don’t recognize, please help these new members feel welcome. Our Chapter has an incredible amount of talent and experience; we need to share those resources with colleagues to ensure we’re providing value to the Chapter.

Lastly, I sent an email reminder earlier this week to all Professional Members regarding the Scholarship opportunity to attend World Workplace in Nashville, TN from September 28th-30th.  This opportunity is open for Associate Members to apply as well. We are looking forward to awarding this scholarship!

For those of you who have registered for World Workplace, I look forward to seeing you there. You should have received an email regarding a tour on September 27th at 3:00pm at Asurion Gulch Hub followed by a Joint Social with the Charlotte Chapter.  Thank you to everyone who coordinated to make this event possible, I am excited and looking forward to it.  For those of you who haven’t registered for this tour, there is still time as you have until Friday, September 16th to RSVP.
