August 2024 President’s Message
Just when Kellie thought her term as President was over, my child’s arrival threw a wrench into my plans to lead our July lunch meeting. As a result, Kellie had to step up and handle things one last time.
Although attending our swearing-in ceremony via Zoom wasn’t ideal, I was thrilled to hear about the impressive turnout for the meeting and the wonderful time spent networking with our committees.
I’m pleased to announce that we not only met but exceeded our sponsorship drive goal this year! Generous monetary pledges from our sponsors allow the Chapter to host outstanding events, give back to our local community, and fund scholarships that advance the Facility Management field. Big thanks to Angel Bond for helping lead the charge in securing these commitments!
On August 21st, we’ll be altering our usual monthly lunch meeting and instead hosting a breakfast meeting. Join us at the McKimmon Center on NC State’s campus from 8:00 to 9:30 a.m. for a presentation by Ben Blankenship on how AI can enhance your productivity and help you make better use of your time. This presentation will tie in nicely with IFMA’s Core Competency – Facility Information Management & Technology Management. Hope to see you all there!
Feel free to reach out with any questions, thoughts, suggestions, etc. as we move forward through this year.
