December is here! The end of the year is fast approaching, and before we know it, many of us will be setting our out-of-office replies and promising to reconnect after the holidays. Personally, I look forward to the holiday season as a time to recharge, spend quality moments with family and friends, and reflect on the year that’s passed while anticipating the year ahead.

As we embrace the festive season, let’s also remember that this time of year can be especially difficult for those who may be dealing with personal challenges. Please take a moment to check in on your loved ones, friends, and colleagues who might be struggling.

Looking back at November, we kicked off the month with our Annual Chapter Appreciation Event at The Angus Barn. A big thank you to all of our sponsors, members, guests, and spouses who made this event a memorable occasion. The following week, we hosted our Coffee and Credentials Event at SAS, which was well attended. This session provided valuable insights into the various certifications available to IFMA members.

As we move into December, we held a Joint Committee Meeting on December 4th at Bond Brothers. It was a great opportunity for our committees to come together, collaborate on upcoming events and initiatives, and discuss goals for continuing to enhance the GTC IFMA member experience. If you’re interested in learning more about how you can get involved, feel free to reach out to me.

Looking ahead, we have our luncheon on December 11th, where we’ll hear from a panel of Triangle Area Real Estate Experts who will share insights on the current market trends and what to expect as we head into 2025.

Finally, we’re excited to kick off the new year with a joint event with IREM on January 8th, featuring guest speaker Jamie Valvano. We hope to see you there!

Wishing you all a joyful and restful holiday season!

Thanks,

Tyler Holmes, Piedmont Service Group
