On December 5th, in lieu of a “regular” luncheon meeting, GTC of IFMA was treated to a tour of Raleigh’s Holy Name of Jesus Cathedral.  With over 65 members attending, it could have been an overwhelming crowd for many spaces, but not for what is now the nation’s third largest Cathedral (the former Raleigh Cathedral, Sacred Heart, was the nation’s smallest Cathedral…what a difference)!

Our guide for the tour was Mrs. Sally Bruns, a member of the church’s construction committee.  Mrs. Bruns served on the committee from the time of the ground breaking (January 3, 2015) until the first public Mass was celebrated on July 29, 2017.  Her knowledge and respect for the building resonated with the audience.

Lunch was served at Sammy’s Tap and Grill immediately afterward.  Thanks again to our sponsors for the event, MG Capital Maintenance and Southern Outdoor Restoration.
