This year is flying by, and I can’t believe it is November already. With the holidays right around the corner, this is the busiest time of year for many of us. In October, we had two amazing events. First was Coffee and Credentials where we had over 30 participants interested in information on IFMA’s CFM, FMP, and SFP credentials. If you were unable to attend the event, please let the Professional Development Committee know as they are here to support you in any way. The second was Bingo for Bones featuring our first Chili Cookoff. This event supported three amazing local pet adoption groups: German Shepherd Dog Rescue and Adoption Service, Best Friend Pet Adoption, and Vets to Vets United Inc! The Chapter was able to raise $1600 for each of these adoption groups.
As mentioned earlier with this being a busy time of year, we have several events in November and December to highlight. We have the Fenton Tour on Thursday, November 3rd which is a joint event partnering with BOMA Raleigh-Durham that filled extremely quickly. Next, we have our annual Member Appreciation event at the Angus Barn on Thursday, November 10th beginning at 6PM. I am looking forward to the Angus Barn as this is by far my favorite event of the year.
On Wednesday, December 14th, we have a Panel Discussion around Workplace Experience, Strategies, and Trends supporting return to office with industry thought leaders from HR to Interior Design to Corporate Real Estate. If there are any specific questions you would like to ask of the panel, please send to our Chapter Administrator so we can add to these to the discussion. Last, but certainly not least, we have our annual Toys for Tots Shopping Spree on December 6th, and you can contact the Community Outreach Committee with any questions.
Thanks to all who helped coordinate these events. It is greatly appreciated!
