The 2021 calendar year brought another year of uncertainty for many of us. COVID numbers started declining, and then the Delta variant came. This forced some companies to reconsider when to re-open to staff. Some of us have dealt with the uncertainty of when staff would return. We’ve dealt with the challenges for each ramp-up and how best to address the services and resources needed each time a new milestone nears. On the personal side, some of us may have lost loved ones or experienced significant change.

With all the changes and uncertainty, both in personal and professional lives, each of us has faced new challenges that push our limits. It’s important as we move into the holiday season when other stress may find you that you take some time for yourself. If you’re feeling overwhelmed, reach out to a colleague, a mentor, friends, and family and voice your concerns. If you notice a colleague seems a bit short, stressed, or is shutting down, reach out to them.

As we turn the page on 2021 and look ahead to 2022, let’s continue to support one another and make the chapter the best it can be.
