November 2023 President’s Message

BOO!

The month of October was “Good, Scary Good”! We kicked off the month with our annual Bingo for Bones event at Montague Lake, and the weather could not have been more perfect. This year we were able to raise over $4,000 for our local animal rescue partners. This chili was tasty, and the networking was even better.

We followed that up with another Coffee and Credentials event which brought out many attendees to learn more about the FMP, SFP, and CFM credentials. Did you know that our chapter offers tools and resources to help you attain these certifications? If not, you should reach out to our Professional Development committee for more information.

Finally, we closed out the month with a Professional Member tour at Beam Therapeutics followed by a networking social. What an exciting place to visit! Those that attended got to network with both new and long standing professionals and associates.

I am so much looking forward to celebrating all of you – the members – at our Member Appreciation event next month. In the spirit of fun and “teamwork”, DON’T FORGET to wear your favorite sports team garb and let’s see how many different teams we can support.
