February 2015 Presidents Message

Our focus this late winter and spring will be on bringing chapter members what they want and need. We will be hosting our 4th Annual Mega Networking Event at the Carolina Hurricanes on February 12th, the Citrix Tour and After Hours Social on February 26th, our 1st Professional Member Event and Annual Sponsor Reception on March 19th and the Golf tournament on April 29th! We should have an amazing late winter and early spring full of awesome events and hopefully mild weather!
We are working hard at continuing our “Celebrating the Facility Management Professional Campaign” that began a few years ago. Professional member attendance at these events is vital to the success of our chapter and we need your participation and feedback to stay on track with our Chapter Mission and Vision:
Mission: To promote participation in and vitality of the Greater Triangle Chapter of IFMA by focusing on education, networking, and leadership to further develop the core competencies of the facilities profession.
Vision: To serve as the ultimate resource and representative for facility management.
Coming up in February you will see the nominations for next year’s Board officers. Please take the time to confirm the nominations or write in a name.
In March, our Chapter Survey will be coming out. We are planning on changing up the questions this year so please take the time to complete the survey as your comments are very important in the planning of our upcoming year.
In late spring/May timeframe, Sponsorship levels will be coming out with details on the campaign for the coming fiscal year. Online commitments will begin July 1 and close July 30th. If you have any questions regarding sponsorship now, please reach out to me directly. Please email Chapter Vice President Randy Rabon with any comments or concerns you may have regarding your membership.
