President’s Message
Greeting IFMA Members,
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve as your Chapter President for the upcoming year. It is truly an honor to work with this great association. This year’s theme is “Gear Up”! I am asking all chapter members to take their involvement up a notch. Whether you are on a committee, leading a committee or just attending events, push yourself a little to get more out of your IFMA experience. IFMA is a great place to learn new concepts and trends as well as network with very knowledgeable people, but you will only get out what you put in.
This year we are “Gearing Up” with some new events and activities, starting in July with a big celebration for National FM Day. July 13th at 4 PM we will be hosting a meeting, talking about local development, then celebrating with a social and silent auction to raise funds for the IFMA Foundation. Our Chapter is partnering with the Foundation to help promote the Facilities Management Profession and how it can be a wonderful career for the next generation. Also, save the date of August 25th for our next professional only event. We are going to bring in a panel of experts to educate on how to respond to Active Assailants in the workplace.
We are looking forward to having a wonderful year filled with top notch educational events for all members. However, these events wouldn’t be possible without our sponsors.
